90 Minutes from Manhattan: PARADISE

I've been relaxing in Paradise. Just an hour and a half from Manhattan on Fire Island. Long Island, NY truely has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I love East Hampton and Southampton and even Montauk but I don't love all the traffic there.

I've been to all the Islands of Hawaii, the French Riviera, The Red Sea, Florida, California, The Gulf of Mexico and The Caribean Sea but none of these places are as beautiful to me as Fire Island just an hour and a half from Manhattan.

Fire Island in unique in the fact that there are no cars there. The only way to and from is by boat or ferry. The 20 minute Ferry ride is the icing on the cake. The moment I sit on the top of the ferry and feel the breeze crossing the Great Bay from the mainland to the Island I know I'm heading toward Paradise.

Now I'm back in the city so I will be blogging again. Although I just might go back to Paradisde this weekend or next.

While I've been gone not much has been happening in the Dog Days of August. The Triboro bridge that connects Manhattan, The Bronx and Queens is being renamed after Bobbie Kennedy.

Manhattan is still a buyer's market. There is plenty of inventory and plenty of great deals for buyers right now. Don't wait for stubborn sellers to lower their price. Make an offer! You never know!
