You've heard about The High Line, Manhattan's successful 21st century park built atop the former elevated train track that transformed 22 blocks into an open park.
How about The Low Line? formally known as the Delancey Underground. The Low Line's creators are working with the MTA and the city to convert an abandoned, underground trolley station into a state-of-the-art, solar-panel-illuminated, $55 million park at The Essex Street Station in the Lower East Side. Their goal is to open by 2018.
